Upcoming Events on Saturday Nights

Hello Everyone,

Here’s a reminder of what’s upcoming this fall on Saturday nights after the worship service!

September 19th -

• Burger BBQ. 
• $3.00 for a burger, chips, drink. 
• Tickets on sale September 12th.

October 10th -

• Pizza night.
• Details forthcoming.

October 17th -

• Open brainstorming meeting.
• Anyone who wants to attend can come and help us think and come up with ideas on what to do before or after the worship service.
• The two questions we want to answer are:  1) What can we do to help us grow in Christlikeness?  2) What can we do to help us develop “strong stickiness”?
• Your input is definitely important here!

October 24th -

• Extended Worship Night.
• After the worship service, we’ll move over to the Holy Grounds Cafe and have a time of extended worship through song.
• Mike de Neve will lead this time.

Pastor Dennis, Kirk and I hope to see you each week this fall as we grow in Christlikeness!

 

Sub Sandwich Night Reminder (Aug 29th)

 A REMINDER ABOUT THE SUB SANDWICH NIGHT ON AUG 29th

We will be serving sub sandwiches on August 29, 2009.  For only $3 you get

• A sub sandwich
• Chips
• A drink
• Ice cream
• All kinds of fun with family, friends, etc.
• Live music

This Thursday, August 27th, is your final opportunity to purchase a ticket for the food.  You can do so by e-mailing me your request or by stopping by the church office between 8:30 am and 5:00 pm.  (Come to the Ministry Center.) 

We’ll be eating on the lawn, so please bring a chair or blanket in case there aren’t enough chairs. 

Pastor Dennis, Pastor Kirk and I look forward to seeing you and sharing a meal with you.

BBQ Needed for SNW on 7-25-09

We are looking for 1 propane grill to use Sat night, 7-25-09.  We have a propane tank but are short one grill.  If you can bring your grill to church please email me asap, talk to me at church tomorrow night or leave a reply to this post.

 

SNW BBQ

We have planned another hamburger/cheeseburger BBQ on the field for Saturday, July 25, 2009, immediately after church lets out!

If you came to the last one, you know how much fun it was!  If you didn’t come to the last one, you don’t know what you missed out on!

We are pre-selling dinner tickets on 7/18 at Holy Grounds and during the week at church and via e-mail.  It would be very helpful if you would pre-purchase your tickets so that we don’t run out of food.

For only $3.00 you get –

Hamburger/cheeseburger

Potato Chips

A drink

Ice cream.

Be sure to bring a lawn chair or blanket to sit on.  We don’t have enough tables and chairs for everyone.

BBQ and Hang Out Time After Church on Sept 6.

Hi Everyone,

Please don’t forget that we are going to have a BBQ on the field after church on Sat PM for anyone who wants to stick around and eat and vist.

For only $3/person we are having burgers, chips, a drink and ice cream.

THIS JUST IN – WE ARE ADDING TURKEY BURGERS FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO DON’T EAT BEEF.  YOU CAN THANK THOM DAVIES AND FRIENDS LATER.

Please RSVP by Thursday at noon if you want to order a burger.  Please specify if your burger will be with cheese or without and if it will be beef or turkey.

Also, please bring something to sit on.  We’ll have a limited number of tables set up.

Coming to snw on July 26!

Zontas will be with us this next Saturday night.  They will be ministering during the offering and then they will stick around to provide some relaxing and inspiring music during our post-service dinner.  If you are going to eat, please read down a couple of posts to see the menu and costs and then e-mail me by this Wednesday with your order.  Or, you can place your order by making a comment on this post.  Either way, I hope to see you Saturday night for worship and then a meal afterward.

Zontas

Zontas, from the Greek word meaning “alive”, is a unique wind quartet of flute, trumpet, clarinet, and bari sax. 

Combining these voices into a blend of classical, jazz, and sacred music, our goal is to share the life that comes through Christ to the world around us. 

 

Here Comes Another Fellowship Opportunity!

Dear Saturday Night Church Family and Guests,

 

Our next after-church dinner will be Saturday night, July 26.  Let me tell you right now that you’re not going to want to miss it!

 

We will be having a subway/croissant sandwich night as well as special music for your dining pleasure!

 

For only $3.00 you get the following –

 

¨    sandwich,

¨    chips,

¨    drink,

¨    ice cream.

Here is the plan:  we would like you to please plan to purchase your tickets in advance this Saturday night.  Come to the table in the courtyard after the service and we will sell you a $3.00 ticket for each sandwich, etc. that you would like and then you can purchase additional drink tickets if you would like.

 

If you will not be at church, or will not be able to purchase your tickets in advance, don’t worry.  Please let me know by July 23 that you will be eating, and how much and whether or not you want a croissant or subway style.
